Decision Time: UC Berkeley BA CS vs UCLA BS CS with Regents Undecided

Accepted to UCB Letters and Science and UCLA Computer Science with Regents Scholarship.

  • For UCB L&S CS, there are three CS courses with a minimum 3.3 GPA required to get into CS.
  • UCB seems to be recognized as a stronger CS program and location in the Bay area. May lead to greater employment opportunities
  • UCLA Regents gets priority registration for classes and housing which may help in such a large school. Already accepted into CS.
  • UCB seems like it may be a less collaborative environment than UCLA.

Would appreciate any comments and thoughts from existing students and others. Decision time is very soon. Thanks.

if you got into UCLA for CS AND have Regents, it’s a no-brainer - UCLA.
