My daughter has applied to Fox School of Business for Fall 2017. Her application has been fully received as of 2 weeks ago. Just curious as to whether the 6-8 week wait time for the decision is legit? Hoping to hear back sooner.
Also wondering if Transfer Tuesday’s is the only way to see the school prior to admission.
I also applied as a transfer to Fox for fall 2017 about two weeks ago and have yet to get my decision. Someone else on this site responded to a comment I made on another thread and said that they had called the admissions office and two different people told them that freshman applications are being prioritized right now and transfers might not hear back until the end of February.
My boyfriend is a fox student and just texted me flyer advertising a fox discovery day open house on February 11th. So that would be an option other than transfer Tuesday. If your daughter has yet to go to a transfer Tuesday, I recommend it. The info session and campus tour are a waste of time and don’t give you anything you can’t get online or by walking around campus, but when I went we got to meet with the admissions person for fox and ask tons of questions about transferring credits and program details.
@NotSteveBuscemi – is that for undergrads or graduate students? Or both?
My bad. I think it’s for grad students. I originally was sent a flyer where it didn’t specify.
@NotSteveBuscemi No, problem. Thank you. Any news for you yet?
Not yet. Eagerly and anxiously waiting to hear back. What about your daughter?
Same!
I got an acceptance email this morning, about a month after my application was completed. Have you heard back yet?
Yes, my daughter just found out yesterday. It took hers exactly a month as well! She is now in the decision-making mode but Temple looks like her first choice. Have you looked into housing yet?
I’ve started trying to figure out housing but it’s proven very difficult. The majority of the apartments that do roommate matching are kind of awful. I’ve talked to some people on Temple off campus housing Facebook group but that has proven difficult because the majority of sophomores-juniors already have established roommate groups, so I’ve really only talked to two people that would have been too different from myself to live with.
I received mine around a month after applying as well.
