Decisions are in!

^besides, I'm sure SAT/ACT scores were good, ECs were good, etc...

Well i was accepted into the Phi Eta Sigma Honor society, but i didnt tell them bc i got the letter after i applied. I was going to send it to them, but the letter doesnt have my name on it, it only says Congratulations on getting in. So for all they know i made the letter up myself or something, plus its too late now anyways probably.

im worrying bc there are manny overachievers with 3.8 gpas and perfect sat scores that chose to apply to brandeis. In any case I tried and if i dont make it im not gonna be upset

(well maybe a little)

David-

My son wasn't the most stellar applicant on the planet; yes, his GPA was great, but ECs were average, and NO athletics (except what was req'd), and SATIIs/ACT scores were "ehh" ... He got in...

can't attend b/c of no merit help...but he got in :)

I got in too!

Acceptance letters come in big envelopes, I knew mine was an acceptance before I opened it because I figured they wouldn't be rejecting me with an 8x11 envelope lol.
yes, they also say congratulations on the bottom (which i didn't notice cause I was too busy opening it).

i'm not sure if i received any merit aid...I just got an Alumni & Friends Scholarship, as did my other friends who applied. is this the merit aid?

And a normal-sized letter does NOT mean a rejection. One of my other friends was waitlisted in a normal-sized letter, so it's not the complete end of your chances.

thanks hoppipolla, i appreciate your optimist attitude!

I got accepted with a full tuition scholarship- Justice Louis D Brandeis Scholars. big envelope with a folder full of stuff in it.

I really wish I could, like, transfer this to someone who is really dead set on Brandeis, because it's not really my top choice. but oh well, I'm still excited about it. I'll have to see which others I get into and what they're offering before I decide.

(my stats are in my profile if you wanna read.)

I feel the same way, Jarsilver, about my merit scholarship. Meh.

How do they notify international students? If its through snail mail then, oh nooooo......

@Almighty
Exactly :(

I think they send acceptance letters to intls via express mail...I saw that in last year's thread...And they e-mail all international applicants.

they haven't emailed me..

i didn't receive anything either and I'm an international...should we e-mail them?

They din't email me either.

Oh wow, I'll probably be getting my decision in the mail tomorrow (I live in upstate NY).
This is nerve-wracking... congratulations to everyone who got in!

oh wow.
I'm so nervous. I want Brandeis so badly!!

Since they haven't emailed yet, I think they will e-mail us on Monday so that we receive our decisions at around the same time as most domestic applicants receive their mails. But I do know that they e-mail international students (that is, if their policy has not changed this year).

Yayieee!!....I'm from India.....I got in too....The letter even says that I am a Weiner Scholar..(Honestly dunno what that is though!)....
