Chances for brandeis? Please!

Okay. So I looked at the stats already…so I kind of know where I lie…but…still not sure…since I won’t be submitting my sat scores…

So here are my stats:
current gpa: 89.6 (yea…i know. not so high…)
(took 6 AP’s in high school)

My sat scores suck…so i’m using the test flexible option instead. I will be submitting a graded analytical essay since that’s my stronger area (an A- on an AP lit essay isn’t too bad…is it?)

my college essay is strong. I know that because my ap lit teacher, guidance counselor, as well as other eng. teachers read it. Their responses were all very positive.

i have 3 pretty good college recs. 2 from my AP teachers (got an A- in both), one from my guidance counselor, and one from a teacher who knows me pretty well.

Com. service hours: 260 (went to an orphanage in china over the summer, volunteered at a hospital playing/taking care of kids over the summer, and helping around school)

E.C’s:
won regional art award (gold key)
won regional 8th and 12th for two events (out of 42 schools) for science Olympiad
been playing the piano for 12 years, 4 years at a music school.
piano teacher (intermediate level. taught pro-bono)
asian club V.P.
national honors society mem.
school freshman mentor.
worked (for money) at a restaurant, and a library.
(note that i participated in most of these activities for 2-4 years in high school).

so any luck? :(

It looks good. You also have some nice E.C’s. You never know. Good Luck!

haha thanks! I guess no one really knows how this new test flexible policy will go… :/

How low are your scores? Also, is your proposed major going to be something writing intensive?

@benaiir- It’s really really not good. xD The score isn’t even funny. haha
I think I might go undecided? I’m not really sure what I want to do exactly yet.
I have some ideas, but they are not official. So yea.
