@aaziya
I'm from India too. Did you get your decision in email?

I got in!! w00t!

I got in too!!!
Except I only got a "Trustee Scholarship" of $2500 a year.... I really wanted some merit, but I really didn't get much.
Argh!

im not sure if anyone else is a prospective transfer, but they said transfers find out on june 1.. dont they realize if we wait until june 1st, and dont get accepted we have NOWHERE to go? the other schools who accepted me need a decision by MAY 1. I applied to Brandeis in early January, so im p issed off.

accepted!

and they send the scholarship/financial aid stuff in your acceptance package. there was a letter in my folder telling me how much i got in scholarships/aid.

do the packages come with your merit scholarship in it or does it come at a later date??

it comes with it.

I got my decision today, and knew as soon as I saw the small envelope. Luckily, I didn't get rejected, but the waitlist is probably not a whole lot better.

got my package today :D
but no fin aid offer yet because I never gave the the stupid business/farm supplement. just faxed it to them though.

btw, i got accepted to the mid-year class. in other words, they want me to start in January 2010. anyone else get this?

My friend got a mid-year admit too. What's the deal with that?

From what they say, it looks like they just want to admit more students while keeping the class sizes down. or something along those lines. According to them, app. 100 students every year get mid-year acceptance (last year they accepted a total of 754 undergrads)

I got midyear admit. Knowing how selective Brandeis is makes me feel good to even be accepted, but I'm really confused about it. I like Brandeis, but am not sure I want to start in spring. Even so, I'm happy to be accepted at all :)

waitlisted!!! I didn't show any interest at all on the application, so I expected rejection. .

accepted! I'm so thrilled; I spent all day on edge waiting for my brother (who had off today) to text me when the mail came... and almost freaked out in the middle of math class when he texted me, "big envelope from Brandeis!" :) Still waiting on one other school, but in the likely situation that I don't get accepted there... I'm moving to Waltham in the fall!!

Got a FedEx from Waltham. Wooo! I'm accepted. As Wein International Scholar and Physical Science Scholar. This is really great!

How many Wein scholars are there each year?

I'm accepted!!!!!

I got waitlisted. My stats: ACT 31; GPA: 94; SATII: Math II 770; Chem 660

A lot of solid extracurriculars: for example 10 years of gymnasics (4th place on Junior Olympics); Student Government Executive for 2 years, 4 years of math team, 3 summers with the Center for Talented Youth (John Hopkins) and a lot of volunteering. I wonder how my stats compare to the accepted students stats?

check the thread! you're pretty much the same as them. After a certain point who knows how they make their decisions.

Yippee! I got in!
