I’ve grown fond of you, hoped for your success, and was thrilled this morning to see you went 4 for 4. PierreL, I told my husband that the kid who wished he thought to put as his favorite random fact that Bojangles special seasoning can be ordered online GOT IN! And, ArtemisDea and Corey91, frankly, I was simply worried about you two and, Corey91, when you pasted in that code the other day, I was REALLY worried about you. Tony, good, helpful voice of reason, I’m simply happy for you. My OOS son also got good news in the wee hours of the morning: it’s nice for me to imagine that unknowingly he might cross paths with each of you in the years to come. Go Heels.</p>

<p>And everyone rejected or deferred - fret not. If you’re together enough to be posting on collegeconfidential and really tried your hardest in high school and your applications, you will end up somewhere you love where you can get an excellent education, I guarantee you. Just because you’re not going to Carolina doesn’t mean you’re not an incredible person with a community that loves you. All this stuff seems like it matters a lot right now, but it just doesn’t. You are great, period, and don’t let a stupid sheet of paper/online message let you think that anything you’ve done up to this point doesn’t matter.</p>
<p>Thanks for that cloying. Just sucks because UNC was the perfect blend of academics + community + school spirit for me and its not something you can find at every school.</p>
