hi kids. decisions come out in 36 hours. i'll be spending at least 10 of those hours on a bus. go ahead and chat about whatever you want (within reasonable limits of propriety) in this thread to blow off steam.

Today, I got to level 3-14 on angry birds.

that is amazing

Do you think Phineas and Ferb could get into MIT?

P.S., where you busing to?

new york, for a meeting. i swear by megabus for the price, power, and wifi. that said, they are currently BLASTING a romcom right now, to the point where i can still hear it through my 32db earplugs. this is why i am posting instead of napping. otherwise i’d just be dreaming ashton kutcher.

I have been so nervous in this couple of days. I couldn’t sleep well for almost a week because the result will be an important indication of my hard works over years (and I believe it’s true to every applicant as well). Today in my piano lesson, I was too distracted by the feeling that I played a piece of music entirely different from the one in front of me, and my teacher asked if I was being possessed, lol. I have tried a lot of ways to not think about pi day, but eventually, I could not focus on any of those things (even my mum told me to get a life, haha). Still, it’s hard not to be nervous even though how people tell you life goes on with or without being accepted. Sometimes, I am annoyed by people telling me not to be concerned with smth I can no longer change, because ultimately, it does mean a lot to me, so I am entitled to do that! (I know they mean well, but still…)

Anyways, I want to thank the admission committee for reading my application, especially MITChris for being so accessible to applicants.

Good luck to you all!

Anyone skipping school tomorrow? Kind of a tradition at our school, except it seems kinda ridiculous with a 9:26PM release date.

^ Haha I might just because of how tired I am today. Daylight savings time to standard time got me again.

^Same, hahahhaa.

I’m watching the NYC regional right now, but it’s definitely no GSR (FIRST robotics, hahaha)

yeah i live in essentially a loft apartment with a skylight and i’d become used to the sun coming up to a certain height. when it wasn’t there when i woke up to catch the bus i was pretty confused and tired. then when i logged onto facebook and saw that everyone else was confused and tired i understood.

I have a Math exam tomorrow. Prepping is keeping me from thinking about Pi day. At the same time, though, its incredibly hard to ensure that waiting for Pi day doesn’t keep me from thinking about my exam. :P

Thanks for reminding me! Did you watch Pittsburgh yesterday? I’m still trying to convince myself that I’d rather get into MIT than join Simbotics Can’t wait till championships in St. Louis.

That’s horrible. People still watch romcoms? So few are actually good…
(500) Days of Summer is brilliant, though.

I have no exams tomorrow, luckily. I just finished my [busy] weekend, so I’m going to watch Entourage today and tomorrow afternoon, and then through the night I have no idea what I’ll be doing, I’ll improvise - it’s always best. Decisions come out for me early morning hours of the 15th. So I likely won’t go to school on Tuesday, unless somehow, miraculously, I’m accepted. In which case I’ll tour the country screaming it out.

Any help used? I got to 3-12 a long time ago and then stopped trying out of boredom.

Our FIRST Robotics team won Engineering Inspiration yesterday and is heading to Nationals in a month. No matter the outcome tomorrow, my week, nay, my year has been made. Good luck to everyone with decisions. And all those FIRST Robotics people on here, and I know there are a ton of you, good luck at Regionals and we’ll hopefully see you at nationals!

Oh, and spring break starts tomorrow. Woot.

What team are you on tmanne?

I didn’t, haha. I was out the whole day, but I think I’m gonna start watching a bunch of the regionals between now and CT (where we’re going).

I’m on HYPER 69 We did pretty damn well, it’s just the alliance we ended up on had to face the first seed in quarters, and one of our alliance members didn’t have a minibot or autonomous, as well as the other lost coms during one of the quarters matches. We’re gonna do really well at CT though (we got a surprise or two as well ;))

What team are you on?

team 217, yes.

Which all of you the best.

Daaamn, the thunderchickens?? Such a good team, hahaha.

I will be at Disneyland tomorrow, but I will trek over to the only place in the whole park that has wifi in order to check the decisions. Hopefully it’ll make my day even better :)

Oh and got my pi shirt ready!!!

Sent from my iPod Shuffle.

Any FTC team members here?

Our team made it to the elimination matches two out of three times but could never get the gold. However, with the extra time before I graduate, I’m developing some secret sauce for the robot next year.

My school’s third quarter ended on Friday so I have tomorrow off for teachers to write comments, which makes tomorrow even more nerve wracking because I dont have school to distract me for half the day!
