Decisions come out when?

My daughter's envelope came in the mail today. Of course, she is on her senior trip. Ahhh!! We are in NC. Sooo the letters are definitely on their way.

...and she did not get a phone call.

Was it a large or small envelope?

ehh...not sure yet. I just saw the mailman go down the stree so he'll be here in 5 minutes :D

LARGE envelope. You'll know when you see it. :D

Thanks for the quick response!

For us pessimists, IF we get to see it XD

Thank you wolfpack, for the report ;) It's pretty nerve-wrecking not knowing what's in the mail. Thanks for sharing your daughter's experience cam6, it's relieving to know that not everyone who didn't get a call is rejected!

Here is how the letter of acceptance reads...

Dear Applicant,

Congratulations! On behalf of the Undergraduate Admission Committee, I am delighted to offer you admission to Wake Forest University for the Fall 2008 term. We look forward to welcoming you to the class of 2012.

You have certainly worked hard for the place you have earned and should take pride in your achievements. Our admissions decisions were unusually difficult this year, but those offered admission lived up to Wake Forest's high academic standards, representing a talent, diverse and intellectually gifted group. You will be a vital part of a class embodying character, service, and honor which will uphold Wake Forest's motto Pro Humanitate.

Now you are faced with a difficult decision. It is important that you feel as confident as we that you are a good match for Wake Forest. Please let us know if we may provide additional information as you make your college choice. In the coming weeks you will receive information from various University offices concerning housing, student services, academic majors, costs and payments, and many other matters. For those who have completed financial aid applications, a decision will be mailed in mid-April.

Please remember that your admission to Wake Forest is contingent upon you continuing to achieve a record of academic excellence and good character. You are required to submit a final transcript to Wake Forest. Should Wake Forest determine that you have failed to maintain the level of achievement and character upon which your acceptance was based, your admission to Wake Forest may be revoked.

We hope that in the coming weeks you will visit our distinctive campus community and allow us to assist you in making your college selection decision. We especially encourage you and your parents to attend one of our Spring Campus Days for admitted students on April 11 or April 21.

Again, congratulations on your accomplishments and this tangible acknowledgment of your ability and hard work. Our faculty, students and staff eagerly await your arrival at Wake Forest as a new Demon Deacon!

Sincerely,

Martha Blevins Allman
Director of Admissions
