Decisions, decisions. Space Physics v. Engineering Physics

I am a student who loves science, especially physics. I have been accepted into Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. I applied for the Space Physics BS (in the College of Arts & Sciences) becasue the title alone exemplifies what I want to study. But that department also offers a BS in Engineering Physics. Both are fundementally physics class (EP is NOT in the College of Engineering, although it is ABET accredited). I have been struggling to decide between the two degree and am looking for some advice. I do wish to attend graduate school at somewhere like MIT or Columbia, but a job would be nice too.

I would advise that you do not pursue a Space physics BS. That degree is too specific and even with a physics degree, you will have a hard time making yourself employable when compared to engineers.

If I were you, I would go into a specific type of engineering that interests you. Since you’re interested in space, I would go for aeronautical/aerospace engineering.
