Decisions, decisions

Okay, so how exactly will the decision come? Is it going to come in an email (like UMichigan does) or is it going to be posted on your application status? And does anyone know for sure if Cornell will stagger decision release dates for all applicants and notify you on your application status what day and time your decision will become available?
Or will it be December 15th or later?
Anyone with any opinions on decisions, post!

They release them at the same time. You will receive a log-in username and pin for Cornell's application server. At 5:00 on the __th, you log-on with the info. they gave you for your app could be different than your self-service app. status page. Then at 5 a link will pop-up that will say "Check My Decision". If you're accepted it is a red banner that says 'Congratulations!' If you are deferred or rejected, it is just in the form of a letter.

Even when they do post the date the decisions will be posted, don't expect them exactly at 5. To my knowledge, the server has crashed almost every year and it will be at least a few hours before you get your decision. Last year, after the crash they started putting up decisions in batches, and I was one of the last ones around 8:30 or so. Just be patient and try to preoccupy yourself as much as possible. Good luck!

I've heard rumors that they're going to stagger decision releases this year.

grantortue, how is it different from the self-service application status page?

Hopefully they'll be released before December 15th rather than after...
