Hey, I'm having a hard time deciding between colleges. I'm stuck between Wake Forest and the Ohio State Honors program (in-state). I've also been waitlisted at Emory and Hamilton. I plan to double major Business and English in college and minor in a language, probably Chinese or French. I know Wake is a better school, but I'm concerned about it feeling too southern (I'm from the midwest). Any suggestions?

If you plan to stay in the Midwest for all of your life, Ohio State probably would be best as you’d get more contacts.

If you don’t like the South, then don’t go to Wake Forest.

If you want to try expanding your horizons at one of the best times in your life to do so, go to Wake.

There are a lot of midwesterners at Wake. It’s as sunny south as one can get in a day’s drive from many MWern locations. BTW. there are only 4,000 undergrads there, so you’ll be known on campus - OSU will be fairly anonymous outside the Honors program.

tOSU’s Fisher is a good undergrad business program.

What is the cost difference?

Ohio State Honors is great! I would go there unless Wake provides equal aid, but even then it would be a tough call, especially because Fisher is excellent.
