Hey! I’m from Romania.

SAT 2s: 790 chem, 760 math, 720 bio, 670 french with listening

Good recs, I was considered the best student ever from my high school, but a small public high school.
I liked my essays, but I’m not a good writer.
Not too many ECs, most focused on science.

I got into the University of Richmond as a Richmond Scholar (full tuition, room and board) and a few dolars more as financial aid, and into Northwestern with almost full ride, but including a loan. I am going to UR.

Waitlisted at Vassar, Wesleyan, Bowdoin and Grinnell. Refused all waitlist places.

None of these schools offer Financial Aid to internationals. :(

Probably heading to UCLA this Fall; wanted Berkeley- but don’t want to wait till Spring to get to college. And I realised I like UCLA more than Cal- spirit and all. Personal choice, though! :)

@flid:
‘Going to MHC ($48k aid), but staying on those waitlists.’

 • hey if you are sure about going to MHC then why not withdraw from the waitlists - It will help people who haven’t got a good acceptance.

No, I’d rather go to any of those schools than MHC. My wording was a bit unclear.
I so hope I can get in somewhere…

^oh seems I misunderstood your point. best of luck for the waitlists then.

East Africa (Kenya and Uganda)

Colgate’13…

this year is SUPER SUPER TOUGH for internationals… i haven’t seen a tougher year. i have to increase my contribution from 2k to 10k in fear of getting rejected from many places… it’s also unpredictable as hell. many people get in with no reasons and some others get rejected with no reasons… may be money…

so i sympathize with u all.

I am technically not international but a US citizen living abroad. I have grown up in Australia though lived here my entire life :)

SAT 1 (third attempt): CR: 720 W: 690 M: 800 (total: 2010)

What does a scholarship on a full ride mean?

Full ride means the school pays for everything
