I'm probably just freaking out, but I applied to UChicago and hadn't heard anything for about three weeks until some guy from the admissions department called and said they never received my transcripts! So I faxed them a copy ASAP but when I looked at the records of what the college received from me, it showed that my transcripts had already been received.

This of course made an already jumpy applicant start running in circles. I've been reading some of the posts here and it seems people have received their decisions from UChicago already - the ones I've read have been waitlisted, deferred, or rejected. I'm so nervous about my decision that I can't focus on college. Is it bad to call the college and ask questions?

Moreover, if anyone has gotten accepted, can you please talk about it?

I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM UCHICAGO AND I APPLIED EARLY ALTERNATIVE! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! ok, should i just call them at this point or what????

I would call and check. I received my rejection over a week ago (and it must have taken it a few days to come from Chicago to California). Good luck!

astrangegirl, call them!!!
i called them last week coz i dont hv any letter as well, they resend it so i got it on monday, although it's DEFER:(

redchord, my finals will be in mid may, so they wont be available too

i just sent in my midterm grade. I think that's what they want the semester system kids to do. It's insane to expect us to send our final grades when our finals are from early to mid may.

I just got an email from their financial aid office -- unsigned 1040s are invalid. Doh! And after I spent so much time and money sending them, too. I felt stupid. :(

... and then they added that they hadn't received my Form 4. And I had to laugh. Because it was sent on March 17th /online/. >_>

Makes me worry, though. If they don't have /that/ form I sent online, even though it says 'submitted,' what of the 'received' files for my application don't they have, and how long are they going to wait to tell me? :O
