<p>yeah I had a problem with them not updating my SATs which made me wonder if they recieved it at all so I called and they solved it. so I'm sure you 'll have no problem. you'll probably end up not recieving your decisions letter till later though. but besides that no problem whatsoever.</p>

<p>I got accepted last year EA, and here is my prediction. I predict that you will learn your fate on 1/4/08. Last year 1/5/07 was on a Friday, and I think UNC chooses Friday's on purpose. It sets the scene for a really sweet weekend. And, if someone doesn't get in, they have time to recover from the emotional injury before school starts again on the following Monday.
Stephen Farmer (Director of Admissions) called me last year on my cell phone at ~5pm, on Friday, 1/5/07 to tell me to check my application site "because there was some real important news posted there that I might appreciate"! (--something like that)!
I winded up not going to UNC for various reasons that I won't trouble anyone with. But it's a great school; and it's on my list for graduate study! Best of luck to all!
Oh, and to answer the question about notification: you will need to check your application status to know where you stand, the letter will follow later.</p>

<p>Yes, I did. I got a likely e-mail on 12/22/06 and a likely letter and scholarship letter/notice on like 12/23/06 (exact date, close, but not certain). I was out of town when these notices came in so, when I got home on 12/27/07, that was when I was first aware of them. But they all came to my home mail before Christmas. FWIW I am IS.</p>

<p>how about those dang season's greetings email....how many people got those huh-huh-huh? can you tell this is driving me nuts? :) the only season's greeting anything I rec'd was from the 3 colleges I have already been accepted to so why would Carolina send these out to applicants and then reject them a week or two later? If this makes sense please tell me how...</p>
<p>markpterson - anything that sets you apart and allows you to add something new to the university is a hook (but I'm not in admissions, so that's just my opinion). </p>

<p>NJ MOM: i got cards from schools i had started the app to, but didnt finish. someone on here had the same situation with UNC; once you're in their system, they send you holiday wishes, whether you submitted your app or not.</p>
<p>My s got cards from schools he applied RD, before they could have possibly reviewed his app. No card from UNC - where he applied EA. There does not seem to be any pattern here. However, for EA, UNC does know who they accepting, and I thought perhaps this was a sign.</p>
<p>i better get in because i procrastinated for all my other applications, so im definetly not getting into those schools..</p>
