nooooo. April 2 is so late!

i thought it was supposed to be no later than april 1st??

I'm skeptical of April 2.

Studious Stud, I also did not receive that email. So, I wouldn't worry about it.

*Studying Stud

Thanks for caring to clarify my name up look closer.

so do we still have no clue when decisions will be out?

ok, so now I'm wanting to see comparison of stats of those who did and did not receive that email! lol...like maybe there's a clue in there...:) my son also received the email - and at the time we weren't sure how to "take it"...did it mean - 'you can stop now - we've already decided that you're in the "No Thank you" pile'....or was it something that was sent to all? (apparently not)...or was it a good thing that they "touched-base" with us?....this has been THE most stressful process...

My son is so busy that he hasn't had time to stress. He's involved in so many things that at this point, with many activities coming to fruition/close/culmination - that he's just putting one foot in front of the other...methodically getting thru each day...
Which, leaves me to "carry" all of the stress (that yin-yang thing)...and I'm ping-ponging back and forth between the mailbox, and the computer...
4/1 cannot come too soon.
Whatever the decisions, it will be a relief to move on to the next phase - "The Decision"...

I received that email on January 29th as well. I don't think its an indicative sign because January 29th was too early for the adcom to have formulated any opinion on the applicants.

Anyway, I'm really hoping for March 30th.

I believe everyone received that Stanford Application Status e-mail in January 29. It was merely informative in my opinion, telling the applicant that all the materials that the admission officers needed were received. In my case, the e-mail was slightly different since they hadn't received my high school transcript (which was just strange since my counselor had sent it with the Secondary Report, which they did receive), but in the end, that worked out. (Yay. :))

I wouldn't say that we have no idea about when they're coming out. The official statement that the admission office gives over the telephone (automated) is that they'll be released between "March 30 and April 2."

So I've been counting down to March 30 for a while now. 5 days. (Wow.)

Considering it'll be out within the week, you'd think they'd tell us what day...

Wow! This week! Our fates will be decided....

Gosh darn it!Don't remind me!Would they actually post decisions on a Sunday if they have to?

It's official!
The Office of Undergraduate Admission at Stanford will post all freshman admission decisions online Friday, March 30, after 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time at:

I got the email just now.

yes me too.. sigh one day later than all the other schools!

Yessss Friday!!! Sucks that it's not Thursday, but this is WAY better than Sunday!!! Also does suck that it's PST not EST...Easterners have to wait till 6pm which will feel like more waiting since it's later in the day.

how? you now get it at 12p instead of 3p

No, east coasters get it at 6 est, which is 3 pst

oh yeah. lol duhh. i did the conversion backwards. =)
srry

If you want to get technical, its 6 EDT and 3 PDT, not EST or PST (we're in daylight savings time already)
