New information regarding SCEA online decisions!!

Just got this 20 seconds ago:

Dear Ryan,

Thank you for your application for admission under Stanford’s Single-Choice
Early Action program.

This year we are offering you the opportunity to receive your admission decision
online, regardless of whether you applied online or by paper application. We
will send you an email on or around December 15 informing you that decisions are
available, and include a link to a web address where you can view the decision.
Please note that you will receive an official decision letter by mail whether or
not you choose to view your decision online.

If you wish to use this option, you will need both a PIN and a password to view
your decision. Below are detailed instructions for obtaining your unique PIN
and password for this purpose. Please take the time now to review this
information so you can easily access your decision when it is available.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATING A PIN AND PASSWORD FOR ONLINE DECISION NOTIFICATION

If you applied online: You will NOT need to create a new PIN and password.
Instead, you will simply use the PIN and password you created when you completed
your online Stanford application forms. At the bottom of this email you will
find the PIN you used when preparing and submitting your online application
forms. If you have lost or forgotten your password, please click on the
“search” button on the homepage of our online application at
https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=su-ugrad.

If you did not apply online: At the bottom of this email you will find your
unique PIN. In addition, a separate email will soon follow with your password.
You will then use both your PIN and password to log into the following web page:
https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=su-ugrad. Please do not complete or submit
the online Basic Information Form to use the online notification option.

If you have any questions about Stanford’s online notification process or the
required PIN and password for viewing your admission decision, please feel
welcome to contact our office at 650-723-2091.

Still no specifics.

That email gave me a heart attack!!!

Yeah, I just received mine a minute or two ago. You're right -- it's unclear. I think Tuesday or Wednesday is still possible (but then again I guess next Friday is also possible :( ).

Well, well, well, this must be checking their system before they post the real email to let you know huh? Good Luck everyone. I'd say they are trying to get your attention.

OMG that email gave me a heart attack. hahaha i think we were talking about how the headline can give away the decision and this headline sounded so neutral/ negative as opposed to a dead giveaway like Congratulations!

I almost had a heart atttack as well! AAH.

I agree - the headline nearly killed me. I was in Religion class, supposed to be researching bills in Congress, and then I refresh my email and get this...

omg... wow my heart was beating so fast when i read it

ditto to all the above posters. My mom thought it was absolutely ridiculous that I got so panicked about this

I didn't have a heart attack because I read all these posts first and was expecting it. :p

Why does it say my Form 2 is not submitted? I sent in a paper app for SCEA and received a confirmation email a couple weeks ago. Now I check with my PIN ID Number and my Form 2 reads "Not submitted". Should I be worried? Anyone else in the same situation? I am so confused.

DONT WORRY.

The applyyourself website is only a one way street towards stanford except for admissions decisions.

applyyourself never knew anything about your form 2, and stanford didnt bother telling them... its all good
