Decisions on 28th.....

After seeing the stats of early admits, I'm not expecting anything at all. I mean, sure, I'm a hopeful and optimistic person in general, which tends to lead to crushing blows now and then - but there's no way I'm so invested in any one school that I'll sit on their wait list and hope, or anything silly like that. I'll get in or I won't; we'll see :)

It's been a long time since I sent in my app--mid-October, followed by a deferral. Man, even a rejection is going to be relieving; I just want to know!!

Good luck to all :)

haha i hear you!!
also deferred...
It would be evil to end up on the wait-list right?!!
I just want a final decision already!

I won't get in, but I'm hoping to get into USC. >_< They give way better finaid than NYU. =/ I already got into NYU. Still, I want to see the e-mail anyway. I think I have a .000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of getting in.

@ethanrt: No problem. Its Shruthi btw. And I have posted a link...

I dont think anyone is actually expecting an acceptance. Because, in all likelihood, Stanford is also bound to look at some other big picture, with respect to each applicant. So we can never be sure.... Fingers crossed

When I look at my application compared to others', my looks incredibly weak. =/

I'm in the same boat as you Nickel Xenon. I feel hopelessly sub-par for Stanford. I got into the two schools you mentioned (USC and NYU) and I'm actually kinda surprised I got a decision before you for USC (3/3). As I recall from reading your chance threads, the only weak part of your app is your SAT I...

Great. Just as start watching my alma mater play in the Sweet 16, the rejection will come in for my S (whose SAT's of 2240 will not be enough to make up for a 3.7 GPA).

I was accepted by USC, UCLA, and NYU.

Actually, my counselor got a call from Stanford a few weeks ago, so I hope that's a good sign. Like everybody else, I'll find out on Friday.

I'm hoping Stanford did not focus on my ACT scores too much and looked at my ECs, essays, and GPA.

To answer Indian's question, I am also waiting for Berkeley's decision; however, I would put Stanford ahead of Berkeley if I were to decided between them.

Perhaps... Good luck to all you guys here!!

yea not expecting to get in

ooooh thanks for this information... i think they should have send an email to every applicant to notify them.. anyway, it's about 36 from now huh?

28 hours! i think i might just sleep til 6pm tomorrow :P

I'm going to play 9Dragons. ^_^

Hibernating....

gonna go watch 21 tomorrow in the afternoon.... :)

I seriously doubt I'd get in, so I'm not going to worry about it. Actually, I think I'll just sigh if I don't get in and die if I do. xD

The waitlist is the bane of my existence...

Reject or accept, please :)

Haha, Nickel Xenon. You phrased my thoughts perfectly. Except I probably wouldn't just die, I'd cease existing. Because there is just no way it'd happen. :P

Yeah, I knew when I applied I had the lowest chances out of like anyone. xD But it never hurts to try. It won't be the end of the world if I don't get in.
