Decisions to be mailed some day this week

It is not today, but whenever they finish this week.

what are you basing this on???

Yes, I was wondering about that too....

I called last Friday, and they said they're mailing it "the first week of april".

Where did you get this info?

Will they mail on April 1st or is it to arrive on April 1st?

I THINK that they prioirty mail the acceptances...that's what WashU did with mine anyways.

i actually don't think i want to know anymore this time...

My S e-mailed the financial aid office to ask a question. They told him to call them "at the end of the week". I think that means they are busy with the RDs until then. The ED notifications were all sent out on a Friday afternoon so only local Jersey kids heard on Saturday and most everyone else Monday and Tues.

i'm in va and i got my deferral letter on tuesday. so i'm assuming they might do the same thing for rd. it sucks that we have to wait till next week!:( hopefully i'm wrong tho.

The waiting is hard. We have decisions to make, planes to catch, trips to plan for the month of April. Child has already been accepted into safety schools, (BC, Lehigh, Honors at Del), so we are awaiting ND, Johns Hopkins, Pton and a few others. I can't believe we only have until May 1st to make decisions. If child gets into Pton, then it's a done deal. Child will go there. However, if child gets rejected, we need to hit the road again.

I completely agree, MommyPain, we need longer than May 1st to decide. I'm really worried about financial aid because my father waited until three days ago to complete his 2004 tax returns, which were drastically different from last year's. It's possible that all my colleges will renegotiate their packages when they hear about the 2004 tax returns and I'm afraid it will not be in time for me to decide based on finaid packages. sigh

the ivies many years ago agreed that they would all mail their decisions on the same date, this year it's march 31st. I'm surprised so many of you decision crazy people don't know this.

i prefer the term "incredibly anxious and nervous people". jaja

yea, i thought the date was fixed?

i thought that march 31 was the EARLIEST they could send them, not necessarily when they actually do...

that's what i thought too, spyder. but it seems as though they're basically making march 31st the new april 1st. lol.

harvard and columbia sent theirs out earlier, because people are getting columbia letters today (the 31st), and some internationals are getting their fedexed harvard letters today. :( I think Princeton should break the rules, too, if Columbia and Harvard are doing it

do we think they're only fed-exing acceptances? and how fast is fed ex btw ? like if they sent them out today , which seems to be the consensus, via fed ex does that mean most ppl will get theirs tomorrow? or saturday? i'm going on a wish and a prayer here i was just rejected from my #1 school (yale, way to pick em, way to be realistic) and am sorta flipping out and need some hope, b/c pton was my #2 and everything else was a HUGE step down in my desire to attend/attachment to the school
