When does Chicago notify RD applicants?

Do they email intls?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to learn admissions decisions over the telephone or via the Internet. All offers of admission made to applicants abroad are sent by couriered mail. Notifications of other decisions may be sent initially through e-mail; however this electronic notification is always followed by an official letter sent by post.-from U Chicago website

U Chicago mails out decisions in "early April" (no set date).

I think I remember reading that they will attempt to mail them out in late March, to get a jump on the Ivies.

o please let that be true. i think my neighbors are kinda freaked out that i already check my mailbox 10 times a day...

the end of march/beginning of april could not come soon enough.

I come home everyday and frantically search for the mail. I sort of half freaked out yesterday because no one could find the mail. I don't think it came and I don't know why. It was 80+ degrees outside and sunny, maybe the mail man's shorts were being washed and he was sweating too much in pants and decided to leave work early.

wait... so we get a decision though e-mail?

no...courrier mail

Some RDs have already been sent out.

The rest will be mass mailed starting 24/25 March.

Intl's may get through e-mail.

I got my deferral notice through e-mail a few days before the snail mail version.

godidontgetwhytheydon'tuseemaileverybodyshoulduseemail why can't they use email

"Some RDs have already been sent out."

are you serious? when?

They were sent out at the end of February.

Don't panic though. VERY few have been sent out.

URM and such i assume?

i find it very odd that not a single person from cc recieved one of these letters...

Why? Over 4,000 acceptence letters go out. Less than 1% of those people actually bother reading these message boards, let alone post on them.

it is odd because the kids who post of CC tend to be overachievers who really care about college. lol. seriously though, i think that although many brilliant kids post on the boards, not all of them do, and if keelee is right in that only very few letters were sent, then maybe we just the lucky ones

I second that twink1etwinkle.

What does keelee have to gain by lying, anyways?

Nothing, which is why I am not lying. I couldn't care less if people don't believe me. When/if you come to this school next year, then you'll meet people who got their accepetence letters in late February/early March.

I'm trusting keelee2 on this one. He or she was the one who disproved that one uninformed foo' disheartening us all by claiming there to be only one fraternity at UChicago. ;) Remember?
