decisions

has anyone heard from Haverford....

& am I the only one who's so anxious

i haven't heard yet but i am definitely anxious too!

thank god... finally the thread is movin
felt like no one's interested in here...

jupp1313, hav u been accepted anywhere & where u from

hey i'm waiting and anxious too!

mee too!!! i had applied ED but was deferred so i am really nervous this time around!! this is the last shot...lol

gd luck to u all...
my chances of gettin in are pretty slim,
but i hope all of u get in

I haven't heard anything yet. I just got finished with an extended process of me sending them my documents, them saying they don't have it, I send it again, they say they need something else this time, etc.
Oh well. They have the full application now. I hope I hear this week, because its the first week of Spring Break and I have nothing to do but sit around and watch movies + wait for admissions replies.

BTW - switch 7, I saw you on the Lawrence decisions thread as well (I'm applying there too). Do you mind telling me what other schools you've applied to? Thanks.

well nautilus1700.. i've applied to bates, hamilton, bard, union, lawrence, bennington
alrdy rejected: beloit, kenyon, middlebury, oberlin

wat abt u ?

switch7 - i got into bc early but i really like haverford a lot

bc ?? didn't understand jupp1313

boston college

Hey, I'm waiting too (nice to hear I'm not the only one on here!). Does anyone know if Haverford has given a more specific date for when they're mailing out stuff other than "early April?"

I called the admissions office, and they said that they would mail in late MArch and we should received it during the first week of April.

Another 10-17 days.....Sigh

According to the notification threads from 2006 and 2005, applicants begin getting their letters 3/23 or 3/24. It also seems to be the pattern that rejections come 1st... or perhaps those rejected just post 1st.

As a side note, I recently spoke to a current student familiar with admissions. I asked (for my own curiosity) the # of applicants this year. I'm proud to know that, according to her, HC is very careful with such information and such stats are not made readily available early (no college newspaper article or admissions press release). The reason?... because, what good will it do HS kids who have already turned in their applications and can't do anything else? It's obvious that selectivity is going up at almost all the top LACS but telling applicants that the application# are up 5-10% is only going to increase unnecessary anxiety in a process that is already nerve racking. At the expense of not creating a "marketing buzz" or an application "frenzy", HC chooses to do otherwise. This is another example of what I mean when I say that HC has a unique, modest and gentle culture compared to most of its east coast peers.

I hope you guys get in. I hope that Hc's financial aid makes it possible for you to attend. I hope that you will benefit (like me) from learning such no nonsense wisdom.

good luck and go HC!

nautilus i went through the same thing. I saw that they are supposed to give out decisions in late march, my question is when is late march??

so do they notify by emails? (to intels)

@switch...where are u from?....

and btw...how many anxious ppl are intels here?
