decisions??

Josephlives and good news: Did you get in?

Josephlives: could you pls clarify how you know emails were/are still going
out at 9:20 EST?

Actually, I can answer my own question: my daughter JUST received her acceptance email! Thanks to those of you who have shared your information. This was a crazy last few hours. My daughter's in bed with a cold, so I've been checking updates for her.
Buena suerte to all of those still waiting, and keep up your spirits. It looks like the emails are still going out!!

yep, I got in :)

I was really really expecting not to; I had a disastrous interview.

I wish they would send rejection e-mails, too, so at least I could get the bad news over with and wouldn't be sitting here hoping that I get in. ;(

i am an international, i didnt have an interview, and i got in.

i will be coming, REED.

Congratulations to all of you; my son got in too!

Ready to just about implode.
:(

Just got my acceptance email... Didn't really expect to make it in with such a small acceptance pool, especially without an interview or anything.

But for any of you on the waitlist (do they even have a waitlist?), be hopeful! I decided yesterday that Reed wasn't the place for me. I'm headed to Vanderbilt.

Im waitlisted and appreciate it Renaissance lol

Nothing for me. So sad. :)

How do you know you're waitlisted, Zach? Have you gotten your letter already?

I called and asked earlier in the day, thinking I would be out-of-town to get my decision. Those plans were scrapped, unfortunately.

I'm sorry.

I thought I had a pretty good chance at Reed--not too long of a shot, relatively decent, I'd say. But as the night is whittling away, I have to say that I'm feeling fairly dejected. Received a triple whammy yesterday afternoon and things are pretty bleak. Don't know if I'm adequately prepared for anymore, especially from Reed, considering that it's more than just my dream school.

Argh, I'll probably be sloshing in the throes of depression for the rest of my spring break, I surmise.

well, i'm really rather worried right now, because i live in virginia beach, virginia, and i still haven't gotten an acceptance/rejection e-mail...:(

After you have your results, would everyone mind sharing your GPA (unweighted/weighted), test scores, and a bit about your extracurriculars? It will help this year's juniors who are considering Reed for next year. Thanks, and congratulations to those who were admitted, and my sympathies to those who weren't. You all sound like great, intelligent people.

ACCEPTED!!!

I got 2080 on SAT1. I'm an international student, so I guess the GPA doesn't apply?

PS: Wow!!! I LOVED the video Reed sent to admitted students!!!! It was soooooooo cute!!!!!

Accepted.

SAT: 2230, GPA: 3.66 UW, 4.3 W (ish...don't remember exactly). Very competitive private high school (which explains my large weighted/unweighted GPA gap). My high school doesn't rank, but I was probably somewhere a bit above the 50th percentile (not a whole lot higher, I think).

My ECs weren't anything amazing. I did some stuff with GSA, JSA, and community service. I also play guitar. I didn't have leadership, though. My essay on the common app was about all the weird stuff in my room and what that says about me (I travel a lot, have lots of interests, etc.). I won an award for a term paper, too.

waitlisted!... anyways Reed was not one of my top choices, I like it though!

stats: international, 4.0 gpa, valedictorian, no AP nor IB classes, not very impressive ECs (piano, community service, president of HS, dancing, soccer, religious and political activities,...). I guess my essay was not strong enough.. it was 'bout education in a third world country and the stressful situation we, peruvians, were having during election times!.. how I realized people were really desesperate to change their current social and economic situation..

*Didn't send the writing paper they asked for 'cause I never did one at school..

Accepted.

HOwever, will not attend.

Thanks so much to those sharing their stats. Future applicants will be most appreciative, and I am also really glad that you have. It helps. :)
