Declining an Admissions Offer

I got accepted at the end of December and was waiting for more decisions to come in before I made my choice. I got into one of my top schools so I wanted to decline UMN’s offer of admission to free up a spot for someone else to take. Unfortunately, I can’t find any info on how to decline the offer on the website or Google and I’m not sure I have the papers that they initially sent me. Anyone know how?

As long as you’re sure you can comfortably afford your top school, you can write an email to admissions, thank them for the offer, and tell them you’ve decided to matriculate elsewhere. Congratulations on your acceptances!
