So what do you guys know about this mythical liberal arts college.
I'm a girl so I can't possibly attend but I'm just curious.
There aren't a lot of colleges out there with a student body size of 26.;)

Also a girl but very intrigues by deep springs. the two year college requires working on the ranch as a supplement to the primary education, and most students transfer at the end of the two years to very prestigious schools. also, love the location. if I were a guy, I would’ve applied. :)

i heard about this too! i’m a girl though
it’d be a tough school to get into and out (successfully)
but so cool!

I thought about applying, but waking up at 5 am and no girls was a deal breaker for me. I also heard that the students there can be really pretentious

Someone from my high school went a few years ago (he’s at Brown now). He’s one of the most brilliant thinkers I’ve ever met, truly an analyst of literature, philosophy, and life in general. I suppose he does have some of the pretentious flair associated with the school. I think it’s hard to live among 26 guys completely sheltered from society and NOT be pretentious (not that I condone the pretension). He told me that Deep springs was the best thing to happen to him and that he wouldn’t have gone to school anywhere else. From what he’s said, it seems that the students develop a strong attachment to the ranch and livestock. Well, more so the experience of the ranch and livestock.

I personally would get fed up with 25 people very easily, but I still think the school sounds amazing.

Whoa there. You think philosopher cowboys get to sleep in ‘til friggin’ 5 AM?
