<p>Who all will be attending Deerfield in 2011 as a part of the Class of '15? I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!!! :) Tell me how you celebrated getting in... or maybe how you found out that you got in</p>
<p>I’m not class of '15 buuuut, I basically jumped around like screaming for ten minutes hahah.
I thought I had been rejected and my dad let me go on about how maybe i’ll apply next year, blah blah blah for the entire car ride home, only to find an envelope that said ‘congratulations’ when i got home.</p>

<p>Congrats to you as well! After a rejection from Exeter and a waitlist from Hotchkiss I thought there was no way I would be accepted! I found out at school on March 11th that I was accepted to Deerfield and all my classmates began to yell and scream along with me…Deerfield has been all I’ve been able to think about</p>
<p>Congratulations deerbri & ohxwowxlovely! You guys seem like great candidates for Deerfield and I’m sure you’ll have a blast there.

<p>yeah me too! im not class of 15, but i thought that i hadnt got in before i got the letter and i was all sad, then when i saw the letter, i almost had a heart attack, went into a state of disbelief for a couple seconds, and went crazy with happiness. DA is especially hard to get into so be proud of yourself if you did!</p>
<p>I am definitely proud to be accepted and Aaralyn…even getting on the waitlist is awesome!! Like my guidance counselor told me everyday after Jan. 15…everything happens for a reason.</p>
<p>I was stunned as their admit rate is lower than Andover’s. :D</p>
<p>I read my mail about 5 times over making sure that I was not dreaming, or read it falsely. And I am in the class of '15!!! Go Deerfield!</p>
<p>I threw a party in my mind when I got the news of my acceptance. Go Class of 2014!</p>
<p>Also admit rate was 13.5% this year, according to a postcard I received.</p>
<p>What did you receive in the the accceptance letter/package from Deerfield? Was it just a letter, or were there goodies in the envelope, too?</p>
<p>Well in the initial envelope there was a congratulations letter, a certificate of admissions, and a letter from the head of school telling what she thought made Deerfield special. As well, they sent an identical envelope but instead it was addressed to my mom with all of the FA stuff…BUT THEN days later I was sent a long tube with a congratulations sticker on it that had a bag of green and white MNMs and a poster of Deerfield. Deerfield is pretty classy don’t you think? :)</p>
<p>@ohxwowxlovely; Thank you! I’m not entirely sure if I’ll be going at all 'cause I was waitlisted at all of my options, but I haven’t completely given up yet! I hope I end up at DA too. :D</p>
<p>@deerbri; Yeah, I’m pretty happy I didn’t get flat-out rejected at DA. It’s one of my top choices. :)</p>

<p>From what I understand of the waitlisters…it’s good for you to send in any updated info that may help you stand out (recent report card, extra teacher recs, sports awards, academic awards) and things like that. Don’t give up hope!</p>
