In at Deerfield!

So far there's been one of these for every other school I got accepted to, so why not follow the trend?

My Deerfield acceptance came in regular mail today. My mom was convinced that it wouldn't be there...she thought they would FedEx it. Well, she sure was wrong. I went to the mailbox, right on top was a priority mail envelop. It was super flat, and I would've been nervous, but right above my name it said CONGRATULATIONS! so I knew I got in. It came with a Deerfield pin, a certificate of acceptance, and a bunch of papers regarding revisit days and enrollment, etc. They sent my parents a separate letter with other info and the news as well. It sure has been a great afternoon!

Good luck to all the hopeful-Deerfieldians who haven't found out yet!!!

I'm seriously considering calling the post office and asking if I have any packages...

Ya I was almost sure I would be in at deerfield...and since you just got it I should be receiving at least something tomorrow. Ive seen no packages or anything yet...my acceptance package is not here yet either. I just want to tear apart something!!

wow, congrats!!
i'm still waiting for my letter...
though i've sort of given up on deerfield and andover.

i seriously need to go find the mailman my mail always comes very late

i found her i was waitlisted,i probably won't be staying on.... i probably think this was b/c of financial aid b/c on feb 29th they sent an email saying they were missing financial aid documents and asked us to fax them... i don't rlly think it is a seperate process as their website says b/c then they would not have needed my stuff

My bannerweb account says:

Your Web access has been disabled. Please contact the Computing and Information Services Office for information about your account.

Is this what everybody else's account say?? Accepted applicants? Rejected applicants?

i was waitlisted and it works

OMG. Does that mean I was rejected?? pinkheart, please check!

AHhh... I just realized it probably doesn't work because I tried to log-in too many times... I should really calm down. :D

Congrat!
Can you share your profile ?

welcome to cc twinzy!!

THanks, pomegranate!
I made a new thread for BS 2010.
COuld you all check it and give me some suggestions?

Thanks a ton, in advance!!!

My daughter received her acceptance to Deerfield today. The regular mailman did not bring it; a separate USPS truck came later with two large envelopes, one for parent and one for child. She has decided to enroll elsewhere (for 9th grade), so I hope this comes as good news to those on the Deerfield waitlist. Good luck!

I got mine in the regular mail, not UPS.

I didn't check online, so I do not know what account you speak of thingslost. I think that's only for international students (correct me if I'm wrong)...My mom called and they told her Deerfield doesn't do online decisions.

Not online decisions. Bannerweb. :D I'm not an international applicant. I'm TOTALLY calling the post office. Our post office is really slow. It takes forever!

Sorry if this sounds unobservant...

What's bannerweb?

Oh, it's like the online account that they gave you early in the admissions process. It's like lionlinks or myandover. It shows you if they've received all of your stuff and yeah...

Valdog did the tardy delivery from Deerfield have anything to do with your decision? Just asking, because in my household the shine is wearing off the apple:)

Hi Sarum. Not at all - the envelopes came today and we didn't think that was so unreasonable given that we're in California. Frankly, I think Fed Ex'ing is a tremendous waste of precious resources and can't believe Andover does it ....

For what it's worth, we have found Deerfield personnel to be very caring, invested, and competent throughout the process so this isn't an easy decision. She's just decided that she prefers red to green -- so is heading to Exeter.
