<p>Anyone else nervous and awaiting todays mail? I have it on hold at the post office so I can get it as early as possible. I think today will have a Deerfield decision, one way or another. It's been such a long road and Deerfield is my daughters first choice (as well as my favorite). Good luck to everyone today!</p>
<p>Ummmm… I’m literally flipping out. Deerfield has been my dream school from the beginning and, although I have been accepted at Blair, which I’m truly very happy about, I am holding out for Deerfield. I wish you the best of luck, and even if your daughter doesn’t get accepted, life goes on! Good luck :)</p>

<p>Why is Deerfield’s late?</p>
<p>According to some threads on here, Deerfield sends their packages by USPS, and not FedEx. This may be why you think Deerfield is “late”. I applied to Deerfield too, and I don’t recall them specifically saying that you would receive the package on March 10.

<p>Just got home… and found out that I was waitlisted for the Class of 2015! I’m super proud of myself, like you should be - no matter if you got accepted, waitlisted, or denied! In my letter, it said that “each year some of these candidates are admitted to Deerfield”.

<p>Deerfield is super tough to get into. My son was accepted to St. Paul’s, Hotchkiss, and Groton, and waitlisted at Deerfield. I’m sure you are all great students and candidates, and you will do well in any number of schools that are lucky enough to have you!</p>

<p>Congratz bksvet310, and I hope all of you waiting for your decision letters get good news. I was rejected at both Exeter and Deerfield, although Deerfield waitlisted me last year. :(</p>
<p>Daughter was waitlisted at Deerfield. Any advice for her? Deerfield was where she wanted to go, still does. She took all of the other rejections ok but not this one. I guess I will start looking at schools with rolling admissions. I’m still hopeful Deerfield will find a spot but need a backup plan.</p>
<p>Seems there is always a little movement with the DA waitlist. But it all depends on what they need. If that ballerina/LAX player/swimmer/science nerd/etc doesn’t accept, then they go to the WL for a candidate with similar strengths.</p>
