hoping 411 i dont have a problem… I’m a buddhist kid so go religion!! woot woot
anyways-- I talked with my counselor about them, and she said she doubts schools like Deerfield (over 2000 apps) and w.e schools u guys are really willing to send 2000 letters to tell them aobut the department. My football buddy got one also but he didnt get any academic ones. I doubt that coaches are willing to hand write 100 letter inquiries

i didn’t say you had one…
if you know its a good sign then why are you asking? JS…

well i found out rite now… after i called the deerfield coach… he said to not worry about it. but when i received it, i thought everyone got one

And btw I’m the MK, is that a problem?

hoping were u asking me, thats why i said i didnt have a problem

just forget it

@jyun: OKAY. I’m going to attempt to answer your question! I know my answer is long, but please read all of it cause it took me a couple of minutes to type (yes, I am aware that I type slow! ;)) and it would be a shame if my efforts to help you answer your question ended up being futile.

First off, when did you send in your completed applications? Assuming that you sent them in fairly early, I’m not sure whether the letters were as much of a compliment as you currently seem to think they are. Most kids either have lives, or are just lazy and end up completing and sending in their apps at the last minute. Therefore, the teachers/coaches who sent you letters had definitely singled you out, but only out of the small group of students that actually bothered to get their apps done fast and send them in early, which was ultimately probably a smaller pool of applicants than you were expecting.

Nevertheless, if you sent your apps in at the last minute, like the vast majority of applicants (myself included. ;)), then the letters you got are a HUGE compliment. It means that out of ALL the apps the schools had finally received , they singled YOU out as one of the chosen few who got a letter. If this is the case, CONGRATS! :)

Hope I helped!

middlesex sends everyone a letter i got one from the history department and the soccer coach but he personally signed it and wrote a note saying that if i need anything (he underlined it too) i should call or email him. those were his words
