do t14 law schools let you defer a year or 2 after being accepted?

For what it's worth, my law school (which was T14) was oversubscribed when I was admitted, and offered all incoming students the opportunity to defer for a year. So it's at least a possibility.

I've heard varying answers. At least one school explicitly stated that you could defer 1 year pretty easily, or could defer 2 years for a specific program like Teach For America (which is a 2 year commitment). You had to submit an explanation for approval but they were much stricter with 2 years than with just 1.
