Defer reversal!!!!!!!

even i don't think that there are two types of deferral letter...mine said..that they are still interested in me and asked me to send some additional grades or docs to give a more complete picture.

So, there is no way that they send some specific types of deferral letters. At least , i presume so. And, another thing rigor_col, it seems that ED applicants from Nepal are getting deferred...with exception of collegegirlee....

Actually what I mean to say is that there're no so called "good" or "bad" letters, IMO. BUT what I've heard is that specific defer letters are send to the applicants if adcom think something is missing about the applicant and need more complete picture to evaluate, in its entirety, for eg they ask like, "send your mid-year report" not just, you know, "send your additional grades" these things might have been misunderstood and termed as "good" defer letters. The so-called "bad" letters are ONLY defer letters (sent to all). The point is "good" deferral are not deferral at all, they are reminders! ...Yet I am not sure about these things

I guess that's a broken link to the Common Data Set (CDS) site. The correct link is: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/enrollment/instrch/cds.shtml
And rigor, there is definately only one type of deferral letter. Every deferral letter asks you for more information. If it specifies midyear report or simply says additional grades does not matter (because it means the same). There are several reasons for a defferal, though: A polite rejection, missing information, or all those kids who they really want to re-evaluate in the context of the RD pool (maybe because the second semester junior grades dropped, and they want to see if the first semester senior grades are on track again, or the financial aid issue for international students). But all those students get the same type of letter (at least at every school I have heard of so far).

This is complete..eh, isn't it the same
you can't open it?

From my computer, your link opens with the ... in the URL and my link opens with the full text. Might just be a bug in the forum.
Let's try again ;)
