Defered from JMU

I was just defered from JMU and am so upset… It’s my definite number one. I have a weighted 3.8 gpa, 1190 sat, would be a 3rd generation legacy, and am involved in various activities and clubs. What are my chances of getting back in after being defered?! Please help!

Because of your GPA, legacy, and well roundedness, you will most likely be admitted RD.

One of my friends was admitted early action with very similar stats (I think she had 40 points better on the SAT but I think the GPA is pretty much the same), so I think you have a very good shot at getting in.

JMU has a 73% acceptance rate. I don’t see how you can’t get in.

@volleyballx2021x hi just wondering if you heard anything or have any idea when decisions will be posted

I was deferred/rejected from JMU and it made me feel like an idiot. I applied to transfer out of NOVA but got rejected in the Spring of 2015. Apparently I didn’t have the math requirement needed to transfer but I felt it was b.s. I ended up getting into the University of Virginia, George Washington, Georgetown and I got to study abroad at Yale.
