Deferred and then accepted?

I applied to two schools EA, and was deferred at both. This was devastating news to me back in december... especially because my college counselor told us that NO ONE who was deferred last year was accepted. But i did everything that was suggested; i sent in update letters and an additional recommendation. Anyway, i was accepted to one of my schools and rejected at another.

Apparently, this year has been alot better for my school in terms of deferrees being accepted, so i was just curious how many other people were eventually accepted, and also whether you feel this has some impact on how you see the school (ie that you might not want to go there now b/c they already sort of rejected you).

admittance rate for deferrees roughly = admittance rate RD

actually for my college the admittance rate for deferrees was ~13%, whereas the overall RD admittance rate was something like 5.8%. I was deferred and eventually accepted, didn't really change my mind of the school, it always remained my #1 choice.

haha well i guess yale is the exception :). I guess b/c i applied EA and it wasn't even my first choice, it does affect my feeling towards the school a little.... but oh well.

Yale is high on accepting deferred students. Harvard on the other hand accepts very few deferrees.
