So, funny story (not so funny, more tragic), I thought I hadn’t applied EA because of the binding agreement to Georgetown, but apparently, some spirit inside of me said yes, so I did. I didn’t realize this was happening until I got a letter in the mail about a deferral. By the EA deadline, I had not submitted any teacher letter of recs, my transcripts, or my subject tests. However, I was already a shaky, risky candidate to begin with. I read that GTU doesn’t reject EA students, only defers them. I assume this is likely due to the want for lower admissions rates. I will post my stats:

Essays:
I am not sure? I only found out after I submitted that you are not supposed to talk about Death. My only salvation with it is that I talked about my best friend’s diagnosis and treatment of Leukemia that spurred my love of medicine. My interest was piqued and I began shadowing doctors to gain a deeper understanding so that no child should have to die like my friend did.
Letter of Rec:
1: 10/10 !! v good!! he’s my favorite teacher and I’m his favorite student. We always talk about world issues and politics and since we have opposing viewpoints, it really helps to expand both our minds intellectually and socially.
2: 7/10 This was my Chemistry Teacher. She has been a dear friend for all 4 years since I took Pre-AP, then AP, then became a club officer. I have been a constant presence in her room and I dearly look forward to coming back from college to visit her.
Counselor LOR: 7/10, generic, but she does know how hard I have worked due to my Resume, and my frequent visits to her office for college help
I really am sorry about this long and loaded question. I appreciate anyone who even took the time to read this, let alone respond. Thank you so much and may your days be filled with many blessings!
