Deferred NYU CAS ED- Do I still have a chance?

I applied ED to NYU. I was low key hoping to get accepted or denied so I could move on with my life but I was unexpectedly deferred to regular decision. I researched a bit to see what this means but I just came upon a bunch of threads online with ppl arguing that NYU NEVER defers ED apps. What does this mean- does being deferred from ED affect my changes for reg decision? Has anyone here been deferred from NYU CAS and accepted? I only took one AP class throughout high school (took a bunch of honors classes bc my school didn’t provide many AP’s); this year I took 5 (at a new school) I figured that they maybe wanted to see how I did with so many AP classes… if my grades this semester were a mix of A’s and B’s (mostly A-) does this look good?

GPA UW: 3.73
ACT: 29
A lot of extracurriculars and community service work

I was also deferred…but not to RD. Actually I was deferred to ED2, though I don’t know if there’s any difference. Heard from others that NYU only defers very small amount of students every year. Also my teacher said that last year a student being deferred to RD was accepted again. So I think we still have chances. BTW Your GPA is really good!!
