Deferred, Questions

So I was deferred from Carleton College on EDII. What is the likelyhood I'll be accepted? Would you recommend doing another visit, sending in more rec letters, and updating them on my EC's?

Also I'll be submitting my 1st semester senior grades:

Spanish IV: A-
Accel/Honors Physics: B+
Band: A
Calc I AP: B+
Intro to Theatre (English class): A
Creative Writing: A
Jazz Band: A
Hybrid Gym: A

I'm really looking for some info :)

Any advice on deferred applicants?

Anyone? Please… I’m just wondering what to do next, there isn’t a ton of info out there, but anyone with experience in this?

Definitely call your regional admissions officer. Ask her/him why you were deferred, and express your desire to attend. Are your mid-year grades an improvement? If so note that in your conversation. Send an update with any activities or awards that have arisen since the app date. There is an article on here about reversing deferrals, take a look at those suggestions. If you do nothing, nothing will happen. Call tomorrow first thing. Good luck.

Sorry to hear. The fact that this was an ED plan means you have already demonstrated that CC is your first choice.

Definitely write a letter stating that CC remains your top choice, consider submitting an additional essay or letter of recommendation, and include updates about yourself (recent grades, awards, new jobs or activities, summarize how much you know about CC, any faculty you have contacted, why CC is a good fit for you, etc but don’t restate what is in your previous essays). Agree, if you do nothing, chances are not good.

Another visit is fine but not if it takes a long involved trip. I think your time is better spent reviewing your back up plans and, if necessary, submitting applications to additional schools (although many deadlines have passed now). Also send the update about yourself to your top back up schools now and indicate your interest level.
