I emailed one of my regional counselors after getting deferred in December about a month ago. I showed interest and updated my app with a few things I forgot to do in the EA round. However, he still has not responded... should I expect a response or not?

i did a similar thing and did get a response, but it was nothing special. I’m sure your information was received and added to your file.

I emailed my regional counselor a couple of times, and he responded by the next business day. Maybe your counselor doesn’t really respond to emails, Googolplex?

BTW, who is your regional counselor?

I live in PA so I think it’s Kathryn Volzer?

Oh, okay. I have Garrett Brinker, so I can’t really help you. Sorry.

The admissions counselors are all insanely busy this time of year reading RD applications, so don’t be concerned if you don’t get a response. They are frantically running around the office and drinking lots of coffee, so it may have just slipped their minds. You can be sure that any updates have been added to your file though.

I updated my EA app before the EA decision and never received a response. I wouldn’t worry about it.
