@Treakins21 I am deferred also and am waiting for a decision. I talked with the head of admissions and she said that the average ACT score is a 23 for summer. So, you will probably get accepted for the summer term. Also, I would just try to relax and hope for the best. Good Luck!
I’ve been deferred too, known for a while but am callung today after some consideration and no response through e-mail.

I’m a first-generation college student and work full-time to support my family. My essay was about what it was like to lose my vision at a young age, and looking at the trauma from the perspective of those around me to learn more about myself, then leading into how I have not let my disability interfere with my quality of life.
I was accepted to FSU and UF but something os up with UCF.
@Lynn26 I applied back in December and still haven’t heard anything back. I have called and emailed them but I got the same response which was since it is a rolling admission they are not required to give a decision and a specific date.
@Lynn26 I applied back in October then was deferred in December pending my transcripts from fall 2017 semester. I sent them in then the week that school started back after winter break I was accepted as a junior transfer for Mechanical Engineering, with that said your deferment is a bit different then mine
@Lynn26 I haven’t received a decision yet but when I called they said as long as everything is sent in you just have to wait as they go by a rolling admission. (I applied mid-December).
@Lynn26 My niece is still deferred. She applied in October. She called a second time and they told her she should get a response sometime before the end of the month or into March.
I assume that UCF has gotten a certain number of committed students out of the ones that they have accepted, and they feel they can fill their freshman class.
Last year they took 53 kids from the waitlist and 71 from the year before. They report that they do not rank their waitlist, so it seems it is more of a lottery- another words your stats were good enough for waitlist so they don’t really look at them again (this is a guess based on what they report).
I hope this sheds some light and I wish all of you good luck!
