Deferred U Mich Ann Arbor Class of 2021

@rangersfan800 I don’t think first semester grades of senior year matter TOO much, but if you did well I’m sure it will help:)

I feel like 7th semester grades vary from person to person, they show who you are as a student right now. If you’re someone like me who did alright they’re freshman and sophomore years but have gotten all A’s last trimester last year and this first Semester, than it will show an upward trend. Likewise,if you had good stats before, but bad grades this semester it will show a downward trend. But if your grades were on par with the rest of your grades, then I don’t think it will matter much at all.

Does anyone know when will they start sending the Admission Notices

@rsmith0208 in the past, the first batch has come out the first Friday in February for deferral decisions. However, that clearly did not happen this year so we are assuming this upcoming Friday could be the first batch. (hopefully)

Me too hopeful…

So do I have to send in a new transcript to U of M with my 7th semester grades?

@michiganea2021 Do they send by mail or update the portal?

@rsmith0208 last year they were posted on the portal starting at midnight and then throughout that day (that friday) they sent out emails

i checked “view credentials” and my school report and transcript dates changed

@kl1211 same here

Interesting thread going on about the New SAT scores and acceptance rates:

“There is a limited amount of students out there and the colleges will need to accept the set amounts of students they always do. So if XYZ university, for example, says according to concordance between old SAT/new SAT/ACT I expect an average of 1420 and there are not enough students that applied with those numbers they’ll have to drop the average. It is not a choice. What else can they do? That’s why universities are beginning to report lower new SAT numbers as their admissions are offered.”

@kl1211 @michiganea2021 How long after your mid-year reports were submitted on the Common App were the credential dates changed?

I’m not sure but I noticed it last night

@kl1211 You can see when your mid-year report was submitted on the Common App. If you wanna be a bud, can you check and let me know? My mid year report was submitted yesterday so I’m just trying to gauge the situation.

my mid year report was submitted on the jan 31st, and the dates for transcript and school report changed on the “view credentials” link on WA to the feb 1st

@kl1211 Thank you!!

@UofMorMSU where on the common app can you see if your mid year grades were submitted?

@enginero It’s under the “recommendations” tab of any college

My mid year report says it was downloaded on January 24th and then my WA transcript and school report were updated on January 25th @UofMorMSU

@michiganea2021 Thanks! It seems like I can expect my WA to be updated tomorrow
