I was deferred from Muhlenberg in december for early decision. I really want to go there. I wrote a letter to the showing how i am still interested in the school. My guidance counselor and a teacher both wrote letters about how I have improved my grades from the first quarter. What are the chances of getting in after being deferred ?

Deferred is not rejected, so keep up hope. It’s important to continue to strengthen your credentials during this time to demonstrate that you can handle the workload at Muhlenberg. I know of another student who did just that and turned her deferment into acceptance. As for the odds, I don’t know.

Some schools are swayed to admit deferred or wait-listed students if there is no financial aid required. I don’t have enough experience with 'Berg to say if this is so there as well, but it may be the case.

Good luck eckbadner.
May I ask if you, if you want, to post your stats, such as SAT and/or ACT
GPA, etc.
Thanks.
