Hey everyone! I was deferred from Early decision at Scripps and was just wondering if anyone had any advice on how to turn a deferment into an admit, and how many students Scripps defers versus denies and how common it is, that kind of thing?
Same thing happened to me, honestly I can’t seem to shake off this awful feeling of hopelessness. I’ve sent them an email letting them know that I am still interested, that Scripps is still my no1 school and that I will be sending additional achievements both in school and outside. I’m curious about how many people they rejected/deferred, because I feel like a big chunk of us was just deferred…
I agree! And like I would honestly have just rather received a definitive answer instead of a “maybe” you know–especially if they deferr a majority of their early candidates rather than rejecting them I don’t really want to hold out hope, but I emailed asking them for the stats on that and they said they couldn’t tell me because it’s confidential
I don’t see why that would be confidential, I mean unless they have something to ‘‘hide’’…This way I don’t know if they even looked at our applications, because if for example 80% of their ED applicants are deferred, then the fact that we were deferred and not rejected isn’t even a little bit of good news …I wish there were some stats about how many deferred students actually receive an acceptance but I couldn’t find any on the internet…I’ve sent them an email asking more specific instructions about how we can improve our applications so I’ll keep you posted. Anyway back to misery for now
