Deffered EAs- hopeful?

man like the rest of you guys i got waitlisted to bc...kinda suspecting about georgetown now. but i heard somehwere georgetown is easier to get into than bc is that true?

Well I've been accepted to three less competitive schools so far, GW, American, and Binghamton so that's pretty good. Waitlisted at Bucknell, but that was a reeeally last minute app and Buck cares a lot about interest.

I'm trying to set a low bar and expect failure (I mean you cant fight the numbers) but who knows?

well i used to like Gtown...but I was deferred...now after 9 colleges have accepted me (6 of those better ranked that Gtown) I don't care...but to the hopefuls, good luck.

which six did you get into..jus wondering

i didn't think BC was harder to get in that GU but evident Carroll is like super elite.... i thought McDonough was a pretty big deal

Here is ranking from 2007 based on salary and placement

13 McDonough

23 Carroll

businessweek rankings best besiness school 2009

14 Carroll

25 McDonough

global MBA rankings

40 Mcdonough

89 Carroll

McDonough is a good business school but not top-tier like Wharton, Stern or Kellogg. I think out of all Gtown schools it has the second highest acceptance rate.

I am obsessed with Gtown, so if by some miracle I get accepted I will have a seizure. :D

hey guys.. there's hope! I got deferred EA from Georgetown... and I just got my acceptance letter today! think positive!!

congrats seekamy...no such luck for S here :(

Congrats seekamy! I just looked up your stats, and they're close to mine... so I'm hopeful! :D

seekamy...wut are your stats plz

1490/2220 SAT .. CR 750 math 740 writing 730..
4.3 weighted gpa.. 7th of about 135 in MD catholic HS
pretty good ec's.. vp of class all four years.. competitive dancer with national titles, good amount of community service.
honestly i thought my essays were horrible..i wrote them pretty last minute.
legacy.

aaahh seekamy:

 1. i love your username
 2. you give me so much hope!! i’m getting really nervous (I’m northeast so I should get my letter tomorrow).

congrats!!

I was deffered EA and i just got in Regular. All i did was send them a midyear and update my SAT scores, i didn’t even take a 3rd SATII.

congrats to those deferred EA! =)

so ive basically just given up hope…my dad was sitting with me and is like anyways i dont think ur going to get into GU, after months of telling me i will, as any parent will, NOW he decides to say nope, not gna happen.
AND i just lost this competition at school so another rejection is expected. ■■■.

hey guys, i was also deferred EA and got in regular. my midyear grades were my best yet, but i didn’t send in any extra info! except my 3rd SAT II which sucked. so don’t give up hope!!!

Deferred SFS, rejected today. :/

originally defered for buisness, then i got in today… I guess the third subject test 530 american history i took just for them (only) didn’t hurt too much.

i know someone who got in with a 1300 SAT score.

hey guys

same thing with a few others; deferred EA and didn’t send anything in (except for midterm report and i think a 3d SAT II that they might have gotten for the early decisions; i took it nov 1).

i got in!! it was one of the best surprises of my life. i was SHOCKED. but, and i guess this is now oriented toward the '14ers who will be reading this next year, it just goes to show that if you are deferred do not give up hope!!!
