Is anyone on this board familiar with the Dell Scholars program? If so, who has won it before and who are current semi-finalists? Also, does anyone know how the semi-finalist stage works? Do all semi-finalists win the scholarship (assuming their documentation is correct)? If not, how many people become semi-finalists and how many people get it??

They announce the winners on the 10th, so I'm getting quite anxious!

Yup, i got it this year. There's certain criteria for this scholarship. For example, i believe you have to be on one of the following programs:
AP Strategies, AVID, Gear Up, Green Dot Public Schools, Aspire Public Schools, KIPP, Noble Street Charter Schools, Philadelphia Futures, PUC Schools, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math and Science, and Yes Charter Schools. You can go to www.dellscholars.org and there is a ton more information there.

I got a question, I know this thread is old, but I just finish my application today. Does anyone know if the deadline is based on Central or Eastern time? I know Dell is centered in Texas and that's where I am but I don't know if the time is different for the site
