Hey guys, I applied to University of Delaware kind of late, so I haven't heard back from them yet. It's probably my 2nd choice school and I would like to do everything I can to get in. I already had my midyear grades sent in. I know some of the smaller schools give extra "points" to people who show demonstrated interest, like keeping in touch with the admissions counselor. Do you think it would help for me to email the admissions counselor from my area and introduce myself? Also, I have started a new job and service projects since I sent the application. Would it be helpful to email the counselor about these, or do they not have time to read that kind of stuff since it's a big school?
Thanks!

I would say it can’t hurt to reach out, introduce yourself, and give your update.
