Demonstrating passion in science?

Hello everyone! I am a current junior in high school. I have long been passionate about the sciences and plan to pursue a career in Genetics (MD/PhD). However, my education has been very untraditional. I was homeschooled through 8th grade, attended a small private school for 9th grade, did online school for 10th grade due to a major blood clot (which actually is part of why I want to go into genetics), and am now at a tiny rural school in another state because of my parents splitting up. My point is that I haven’t had a lot of traditional science experiences in HS - Olympiad, research competitions, etc. My GPA and test scores are nearly perfect though, and I plan on applying to competitive schools. So, what are some options for demonstrating passion for science in a non-traditional way? I will be doing research over the summer, but am looking for some other ideas. Thank you!
