DENIED EARLY ACTION TO SANTA CLARA.....chance me for Regular Decision?

<p>I was just denied early action to santa clara and now im really not even sure what my chances are for getting into the university at all.</p>

<p>Male (White)
California Resident
Private High School
Top 25% in class
UC GPA: 3.8
SAT: 1850 (Math+CR=1240)
SAT 2s: US History-660, Literature-650, Math Level 2-570)</p>

<p>3 Sport Athlete all four years of high school (Basketball, Football, and Volleyball)
Scholar Athlete
Member of numerous clubs
pretty tough schedule throughout high school, a good amount of AP and honors classes
4 years of science, 4 years of math
Senior year-
-AP Calculus
-Physics
-AP English
-Economics/ Civics</p>

<p>Good personal statements, and really well written letters of rec</p>

<p>Awarded "Shining Knight" of my senior class. The award basically is given to one girl and one boy in the class that most exemplifies the image of Christ in mind, heart, body, and soul. (School Motto). I was really excited to receive the award and Im hoping it will improve my chances of acceptance.</p>

<p>I have also had two brothers that have already graduated from SCU.
So since i was denied from early action what do you think my chances are of acceptance in regular decision?</p>

<p>Unless I’m mistaken, I think you can only reapply regular decision if you have been deferred early action, not rejected.</p>

<p>I don’t know much about the Cal schools, but in most places, denied early means you can’t apply again for the same academic year. You have to wait a year and try to transfer.</p>

<p>Deferred or denied, NOLAN? If you were deferred, you will automatically be considered for regular decision.</p>

<p>I was deferred not denied, haha sorry for all the confusion, just to let everyone know there are not any complications on the fact of if im able to apply regular decision or not, i can and plan on reapplying. so this thread is just a chance thread for getting accepted to scu despite being deferred from early action.</p>

<p>You don’t have to reapply if you were deferred. They’ll just consider your app with the RD apps. Don’t you have a guidance counselor at your school advising you?</p>
