Denied from one school, but accepted to another?

Ok, so I have a question about admission and being accepted and denied to different schools and I didn't really know how to word it.

So I am a rising senior and I attended Ready, Set, Pitt in June, and when I filled out my application, I applied to the School of Business/Administration. Since then, I've been checking some of the stats for the students who have been accepted to the school and I'm not so sure that I still want to go in as a business major. I'd rather go in as a general admit to be on the safe side.

So my question is can I call/email Pitt or my personal application instructor and tell her that I want to change my mind? If I can't, can I get a new application and fill it out before October 11 (the deadline for the fee waiver)? And if I can do neither and I get denied, will Pitt allow me to come in as a general admit?

Thanks in advance.

If business is like engineering, then if you get denied for the business school, you’ll then be considered as an arts & sciences applicant. I would just call and ask them if that’s how it works. If it is, then I wouldn’t try to change your application type since it’d be really hard to transfer from arts & sciences to business later and you might regret not finding out if you could have made it into business.
