Ok so I got denied to UNC. It's the only place I wanted to transfer. I'm not too upset because, I have a really good job at the airport where I am now. But I can't get over the feeling that I am never going to be able to go to my dream school, maybe grad school? I am going into my junior year now. Could anyone give me some info on if reapplying as a transfer next year would be possible to UNC or anywhere else like USC, UCSD just in general.

just curious, but why would you only apply to one transfer school? my rule is to always have a back-up. boost your gpa and try reapplying again next year, cuz there are people that have been denied twice by a school and gotten in on their third try.

You’re going into your junior year now. Unless you drop-out immediately, no, it’s highly unlikely you’ll be able to transfer. Almost every school has a 2 year residency requirement.

You can still transfer just you will need to do 2 years… at unc

Long story short, if you’re still interested in transferring, you would have to take next year off and reapply again. Perhaps do an internship or something that shows you are still engaged in an environment outside of school during your year off. Just a suggestion, I’m not sure how all schools operate, but most do require a 2-year minimum to earn a degree.
