Same!!!
Did anyone else who did an Interview get a physical mail from the interviewer. I live in India and thought it was really sweet that they sent me one!
Like a postal mail? Is she from India also?
Yes a postal mail, she’s a current student at Denison so the mail came from Granville!
Does anyone have insight on typical/range of merit aid awards from Denison?
Yes would love to know something about this.
Parent of recent grad here – the most common range when my kid was on campus seemed to be $16k, 20k and 24k per year, though the website says merit awards range from $5k to full tuition. I’ve said many times here that we met several of the full tuition merit award kids during admitted student events the spring of my kid’s senior year, and those were some seriously impressive students. One had been admitted to Stanford and was choosing between full pay at Stanford and full tuition merit award at Denison. Another was choosing between full pay at Columbia or Chicago, I can never remember which, and full tuition at Denison. The Stanford admit went to Stanford, the other one came to Denison and had an incredible experience, soaking up every opportunity.
My recollection is that D19 was offered $25k, but maybe it was $24k. If you look back at last year’s thread for RD you can see that even waitlisted kids were offered pretty generous merit. The vibe I get from Denison is that they want to be as accessible as possible (not just with merit money). But this is a very small sample size and completely anecdotal.
Yes, my high school class of '16 kid/Denison '20, got $24k but I remember that tier award was later increased to $25k for incoming students.
I don’t want to get too ahead of myself but does anyone know the admitted student visit date?
Nope
Good luck to everyone!
I saw the Status Update in the portal. Anyone receives the same?
Yep! It’s updated!!
I got innnnnnn!!!
Rejected
Son got waitlisted BUT offered $20,000 in merit (Alumni and Music) scholarships IF he accepts the waitlist position. Is this common??
So sorry! Hopefully better news for you in the coming weeks!
Would tonight’s decision include all merit aid? Or is there another financial aid letter to come later?
