DePaul vs Columbia College for Cinema Studies/Film

I am following up since this has been addressed but not for awhile on here. Any thoughts from students who have attended or had experience with either of these schools? My son is considering both for film and very interested in any experiences current or past students might have to share.

I’d choose DePaul, but both have pretty decent film programs.

DePaul is a much bigger school in terms of students and options - the Film major is part of the Computing school along with the Computer Science and related majors (Game Programming, Graphic Design, UX design, Animation, etc). If you visit the school, the technology is pretty Impressive. Plus they work very closely with Cinespace, and many of the film students have worked on TV shows such as Empire and Chicago Fire.

Then across the street is the Business school. And of course the main campus is a 20 minute El train ride away in Lincoln Park. So DePaul will have a lot of flexibility.
