Describe the smartest person in your school.

All I know is he took ap bio and calc in 10th grade and got 5s on both. Got a near perfect SAT score. I've seen him a few times. He's short.

Oh, at my past school, there was this one girl who took ap chem in 9th grade and got a 5. She skipped a grade level, and she's graduating a year early. She is a national merit semifinalist and has won state drama tournaments. She took four ap classes as a sophomore and is taking seven ap classes right now.

Wow, I need to get a life.

Girl plays 2 sports straite "A"s sense of humor has a life realy nice #1 in our class.

the smartest kids in my class usually understand concepts and make connections before i do

almost all of them (except 1) are pretty laid back

they are nice and don't act arrogantly -which is also nice :)

they also come up with new ideas during class -things that would take me an hour to come up with

..this all depends on the op's definition of 'smart'. i think the 'smartest' kids in my class are the ones that are innately intelligent without trying too hard -I can't help but feel a bit of jealousy sometimes.

I wouldn't say our #1 is the smartest- she works hard, but I don't think she has any real joy in learning- judging by a few comments she has made. I don't think her personality is really spectacular, but I don't know her well. She's nice like white bread. One great thing about her is that she never cheats, which is a hugely popular thing among top tenners and honors/AP kids.

The person I'd say is truely the smartest is nice to everyone, generally a really fun person, who works hard and is honestly interested in her classes. You seriously can't help but like her. And like #1, she actually has morals. I have serious repsect for people who don't let others mooch off of their work. :D

We have a few very smart people.
A junior who is leaving next year for top college, loads of APs, photographic memory, etc.
A sophomore in highest math, ap chem, overall brilliant

there's this frosh at our school taking AP Calc BC and AP Physics C.

the val last year took 12 (?) AP tests, got 5's on all of them, and I heard he self-studied AP Spanish and got a 5 on it (he's not a native speaker). He was really social (president of many clubs), had a gf who was the salutatorian, and went to Harvard with his gf (had to reject his dream school, Stanford, which he also got in, to do that). Got into all the Ivies except for 1.

meeeeeeeeeee

I know two insanely intelligent people in my class who understand extremely quickly and can work without studying. However, they are ranked very low. Most people who know me assume I am the smartest person in my junior class because I am #1, but I am just the hardest working! (Hard work > lazy genius, at least in the real world)

One kid in my class is taking Calc AB. We're freshmen.

The smartest kid in school hmm.
Takes extra APs ( my school doesn't offer them)
Basically bff with the principal
Ridiculously good at sports
Crazy motivated
Really nice and funny
&Applying to the hardest school any one has ever dared to apply to from my school

Too arrogant...

Not me, unfortunately. I would say it's a toss-up between the genius Suzuki-trained Asian violinist who's three years ahead in math and the kid in geometry class last year who always showed the teacher an alternate way to solve a problem. The violinist is normal and well-liked, but the kid in my geometry class is socially awkward. He always looks so lonely. :(

What do you mean by smartest?

Highest SAT score? Best GPA? Brightest? All?

SAT for my year would be one of my close friends with a 2290 (two years ago and this year a senior graduated with 2340s). If you want to know about all of my friends/family, two of my cousins got high 2300s (they are sophomores in college) and one of my friends recently got a perfect score.

Best GPA would be a girl I sit next to in Calc who has a 4.0 in the toughest classes at my school. She stays up studying until 2 or 3 every night, but also is involved in sports all year around. When she's not in sports, she's working as a lifeguard. SUPER hard worker and SUPER driven to get an A.

Brightest I would say is someone my age who went to college after sophomore year. But currently at my high school I would say are some of my computer/programmer friends. They are VERY deep thinkers and excellent problem solvers. GPA isn't 4.0, but they certainly are smarter (depends on your definition) than high SAT scorers & 4.0 students)

In terms of achievements, I guess I'd have to admit that I feel I'm strongest from my school. You can read more about me here:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/513167-how-would-you-rate-me-shootin-stanford-upenn-claremont-mckenna-yale.html

The most understanding person, who is very empathetic and always knows what to say to make you feel better when you're down or freaking out, is quiet and super modest. She's a very nice person, but she has awfully low self-esteem. Her class rank isn't that high, and she feels like she's dumb (which she definitely isn't) because she isn't in honors classes.

The person with the best grades is this guy who's one of the youngest students in our grade (he missed the cut-off for being in the next grade by, like, one day). He's really kind of haughty and very sarcastic. I don't like him much, but he's all right. He can be friendly, too. His rank is #1, of course. I don't know how he gets A+s in every class.

Intelligencewise, theres a kid in my class who is very sexcellent at math. He is a sophomore in a mostly junior math class (Alg II/Trig H) and he has received one of the highest standardized math tests in the entire state. He doesn't come off as too intelligent, because his common sense is questionable and he really doesn't know about the workings of the real world, but he is good at math. His parents sheltered him, he has led a classical sheltered mormon-kid life. He's real cute though lol

As far as being intelligent and having an over all good personality (plus knowing how the world works and not being ignorant) is my best friend David. He is extremely intelligent, though he isn't taking all AP's with me (he's taking honors) he is still a person I highly respect.

ROFL TYPO!!!!!!
Probably the most flattering way ever to describe someone's math skills.

The smartest kid in my son's class has been in the same class since they were 3yrs old, pre-school. He got not only 5 but got the highest score in Calc BC in 9th grade. By now he is almost finished with all the math courses that a top local university offers. By now he has taken more than 6 AP's all 5. He is not Asian.

Its not a typo, I like the word sexcellent :)

I don't really know who is actually the "smartest" kid in my school so to say. There is a bunch of all Honors students but amongst them, I don't know who is the smartest.

asian male, 16 y/o soon to be senior, 2380/36 first try no prep in sophmore year, taking 7 ap's next year. The calc teacher is trying to get him to skip senior year because he thinks he will be wasting his time.
