I heard that there are a record number of applications to the Johnston Center this year, however last year my daughter applied in April and was accepted. The process is simple - there is a separate application where you answer a few questions, and then you are sent a letter letting you know if you are accepted.

I’m interested in the impact of the financial condition on quality of student life. D was just accepted as a junior transfer and is excited. I read what tealeaves had to say, but is there any more current information? Was the endowment poorly invested, or did it just go down in 2008 by 30% like all other endowments? Did the Inland Empire real estate crash have anything to do with it and did the real estate crash dry up donor contributions?

Finally, D called admissions to arrange an overnight, and they are all booked. Are there other alternatives or forums where she can check things out?

Another question.
I intend to apply Phase I to be eligible for some scholarships, however, I will also ED another college (Scripps) and I do not want to risk jeopardizing my chances if I happen to be admitted into University of Redlands before mid-December.
Can anyone inform me when Redlands admission decisions for Phase I are usually out by?

Mom of a Redlands graduate. I do not recall son complain about any decrease in quality of campus life. Sorry an overnight cannot happen. Son did his overnight early and it certainly helped him make his decision. Have you tried emailing questions to the site, perhaps they can help your daughter contact another student to answer questions.

Larentia my son heard from Redlands on Dec 7 regarding his Early Action admissions decision. He also heard about merit award then, but didn’t get his grant award information until February if I remember correctly.

Thanks, for informing me.
